Getting Started
First steps and platform basics.
Signal Compass is an institutional-grade signal engine that scans markets, confirms setups across timeframes, and helps you execute manually or automatically with strict risk controls.
The platform runs a pipeline: Scanner → HTF Confirmation → AI Confidence → News Risk → Execution. You always stay in control of what trades and how much.

Broker Connections
OANDA, MT4/MT5 setup and health.
OANDA and MetaTrader 5 (MT5) are supported today. MT4 support is available via the MT bridge on selected plans.
Related questions
The most common causes are expired API credentials, an inactive broker session, or a paused account. Reconnect from Connected Accounts and confirm the health check turns green.
Signal Compass continuously pings your broker. If three consecutive pings fail, the connection is marked unhealthy and AutoTrader will pause automatically.
Related questions
Always start with a demo account for at least one full week so you can watch the pipeline and AutoTrader behave without financial risk.
Related questions
Dashboard
Reading the main workspace.
Scan the top status strip (market, news, AutoTrader), then the Signal Queue, then the Live Trade Visualiser. Thirty seconds is enough to understand the session state.
Related questions
An empty queue means no instrument currently meets the confidence and HTF alignment thresholds. This is normal during Asian session and around major news.
Related questions
Scanner
How signals are discovered.
Signal Compass only generates signals when all AI filters align. If market conditions do not meet the required confidence, HTF, and news thresholds, the pair stays in "No Trade" until a valid opportunity appears.
Common reasons: HTF trend disagreement, low ATR (dead session), imminent Tier-1 news, or confidence below the floor.
Related questions
If the heartbeat has not ticked in more than a minute, refresh the Dashboard and check Platform Status. If the market is closed (weekend or holiday) the scanner will idle intentionally.
Related questions
AI Confidence
The 0–100 quality score.
Low confidence usually means HTF disagreement, weak structural cleanliness, or elevated news risk. Open the confidence breakdown to see the exact contributing features.
Related questions
New traders should focus on A-tier setups with confidence 75+. Once you have 50+ tracked trades, adjust the floor based on your own expectancy.
Related questions
HTF Confirmation
Higher timeframe alignment.
If H1, H4, or D1 disagree with the setup direction, the signal is blocked to protect you from trading against the dominant flow.
Related questions
HTF drift happens when the higher timeframe bias changes while a signal is queued. Signal Compass invalidates such setups automatically to avoid stale trades.
Related questions
ATR Stops
Volatility-based stop placement.
The stop is sized from the live Average True Range, so during volatile periods (news, session opens, gold, indices) the stop naturally widens. Position size shrinks to keep risk constant.
News Risk
Economic calendar protection.
The News Risk Engine automatically pauses execution for Tier-1 events on affected instruments to prevent slippage and volatility spikes.
Related questions
No — green means no high-impact news within the risk window for your active instruments. Lower-impact events may still be scheduled.
Related questions
Signal Quality
A / B / C tier system.
A-tier requires HTF agreement, clean structure, high confidence, and quiet news. B and C tiers relax specific criteria so you can widen your opportunity set as you gain experience.
Related questions
Manual Trading
Discretionary execution.
Manual Trading still enforces risk rules — position size limits, ATR stop distance, news blocks, and portfolio caps. Refusals are the safety layer doing its job.
AutoTrader
Automated execution.
AutoTrader will skip a signal if any gate fails: HTF alignment, ATR bounds, News Risk, AI confidence floor, portfolio exposure, or daily trade cap. Check the AutoTrader log for the exact reason per signal.
Related questions
Yes, provided you have set per-day trade caps, kill-switch policies, and news protection. Most users start with demo for 2–4 weeks before enabling live overnight operation.

Risk Calculator
Position sizing.
Enter your account balance and per-trade risk %. The calculator uses live ATR to compute position size and stop distance for every instrument.

Risk Management
Caps and drawdown.
0.5%–1% per trade is the professional standard. Never exceed 1% during your first year regardless of confidence.
Related questions
Open Trades
Live position tracking.

Signal Outcome Tracker

Open Signal Outcome Tracker for per-signal results, and Confidence Validation for aggregated expectancy per tier and instrument.
Performance Analytics
Metrics that matter.
Expectancy per trade — it captures win rate and average R together. Win rate alone can hide a losing strategy.
